Marriage’s needed a new way to bring their 200 years of expert milling into the present. Over a decade long partnership, Spring has used creativity to make that heritage work harder, helping the brand stand out in a modern market without losing the trust its earned from generations of chefs and bakers.

After working closely with Marriage’s, we saw the challenge wasn’t a lack of heritage, but how to make it meaningful today. Our insight was simple: great bread with provenance is defined by time, learning, making and sharing it. That thinking became the foundation of the brand.

We used historic letterpress typography, and reinterpreted it with contemporary graphic icons and digital details. Since launch in 2014 we’ve continued to evolve the identity through new product ranges. We’ve also managed their organic social channels, and delivered standout campaigns, including a creative celebration of Marriage’s 200-year anniversary that included personalised flour bags for trade customers.
