Variety really is the spice of life

One of the best aspects of life at an agency like Spring is the opportunity to experience such a broad range of business sectors. Part of our work with any client is to get to know them, their product and their market, and with long-term clients, that’s an ongoing process.


At the end of March I found myself heading to Marrakech again along with our clients from the Moroccan National Tourist Office’s delegation in London, to help accompanying over 40 travel agents from the Travel Counsellors group on a five day familiarisation trip.

For the majority of the group, this was their first trip to Morocco and the continual positive reactions were a joy to behold.   For me it was an absolute pleasure to use three years of accumulated knowledge of Morocco’s history, culture and tourist attractions in order to give the group an insight into such an amazing country. In return I learned a huge amount about other destinations that they have travelled to (and gained some very valuable insider tips as to how to bag the best holiday deal!).

The trip included visits to a number of fabulous hotels in Marrakech including the Royal Mansour, Beachcomber Royal Palm and Movenpick Mansour Eddhabi, as well as the stunning L’Amandier in the Ouirgane valley, before heading to the Atlantic coast. There we stayed at the Atlas Essaouira & Spa and toured the nearby Sofitel Mogador Golf & Spa. Between visits, we dined at top-notch restaurants on meals ranging from traditional Moroccan cuisine to European-inspired fine dining and enjoyed entertainment from candle tray dancers along with fellow members of the group.
