Following our initial discovery session with the team at Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, there were two questions that were at the heart of defining this new brand identity:
How do we keep a connection to Suffolk Chamber of Commerce while still creating a stand alone visual identity for the Supply Chain?
How can the identity grow and adapt to support future infrastructure projects?
Our creative solution was to take the simple leaf from the Chamber logo, which is nationally recognised, and adapt it to create a new link icon for the Supply Chain. Expanding this thinking further, we created a chain with the Chamber as the central link between business and commercial opportunities.
To meet the brief and ensure the identity remained flexible, we created the tagline ‘Connecting Business to Opportunity’. By simply replacing ‘Business’ or ‘Opportunity’ with other references such as geographies or projects, the identity becomes specific to those audiences.
With an identity now established, we created a comprehensive visual brand guideline, outlining how the elements of colour, graphic symbols, photography and language all come together for consistent and cohesive creative output. With these guidelines, the identity could be brought to life successfully and accurately across campaigns and collateral.

We chose to work with Spring as they understand who we are as a business. Suffolk Chamber has to represent businesses from multiple sectors, with different priorities and different aims, so we need to ensure our branding speaks to as wide an audience as possible, whilst reflecting who we are as part of the Sizewell C Supply Chain for the project. Spring understood how the variety of messaging and focus could be difficult to balance, but knew the role we needed them to play.
As part of our work, keeping close links to the creative teams at Spring, we’re able to ensure we can now deliver on the identity and guidelines as we begin using this concept and layout for all of our media and creative content moving forward. Spring was incredibly detailed in the work post-production, which has given us even more confidence in the dedication they show to their customers.
